How do you back all songs in iTunes onto an external storage device?
I have a Kingston 4gb device which I heard I can back up all my songs in itunes to. That also includes songs from CDs and songs from neither Cds or the itunes store.
Navigate to the folder that contains your iTunes music. For Windows XP they are stored in the My MusiciTunes directory and for Vista they are in the MusiciTunes directory.
Then copy the entire contents of the iTunes directory to your backup device, unless you only want the music, but you can figure that part out!
Remember though - if you transfer iTunes purchases to another computer or a fresh install then you will be unable to use the files as they are bound to your own machine.
Alternatively, in iTunes you can go File -> Library -> Backup To Disc...
This will back up your library to a disc though, and not your storage device.
